- Tested by trying to pinch your index or middle finger with your thumb. If you cannot bring your index or middle finger to make a pinching action, then there is paralysis of these muscles.
- Pinching action is gone.
- If there is lumbrical paralysis, then the distal interphalangeal joint will also be affected.
