Gastric Reflux

- If the sphincter in the superior portion of the stomach isn't functioning, there will be gastric reflux.
- Gastric Reflux (heartburn) may occur if the tone of the lower esophageal sphincter is decreased and gastric contents reflux into the esophagus.
